A silver two-coin set will be sold in limited quantities for $40, and includes the 1976 Town of Millbury U.S. Bicentennial coin in sterling silver and the newly designed Millbury Bicentennial coin in nickel with an antique silver finish.  The same two-coin set in a bronze finish is $30. A single Millbury Bicentennial coin minted in pure silver is currently $75, subject to fluctuation in silver prices. Each comes in a leather presentation box suitable for display. Proceeds will help fund the town’s bicentennial events planned for 2012 to 2013.

Coins can be purchased at Millbury Savings Bank’s Elm Street office and the Millbury branches of Millbury Federal Credit Union, Millbury National Bank, and Fidelity Bank.

Two hundred of the hand-painted and numbered chalkware figurines will be produced, which will be available for preorder beginning at 9 a.m. Oct. 18 at Millbury Savings Bank, 109 Elm St. Proceeds will help fund the town’s Limited Edition Millbury Santabicentennial events planned for 2012 to 2013.
